Hi friends,

I’m so glad you’re here! You can call me Val. I’m a mom to Connor, Kenzie, Braylee, and Jansen, and a wife to my high school sweetheart. We live on a little farm just outside of Wooster.  Life here is full, busy, and beautiful.

I’ve been in this photography business for about 15 years, and you can usually find me in the studio either sweating it out with a brand-new baby or chasing a toddler around with my infamous squeaky monkey, George.

Before photography became my full-time career, I was also a registered nurse. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in nursing right after high school and worked for many years as an ICU nurse, helping support our young family while my husband built his business from the ground up. About three years ago, I stepped away from nursing to focus on my family and photography full time, and it has been such a blessing.

Our family loves traveling, baseball and softball, good food, and Jesus—honestly, most of our life revolves around those four things!

One of my favorite parts of this business is the relationships I get to build. Many of my clients become friends, and some families have been with me since the very beginning... back when I was photographing sessions right in my living room.
